Finally a sunny day in Edinburgh…

Dusting off the holga

August 28, 2008

I have started using my holga again a bit lately and have been enjoying it so I thought I would post some recent pics here since its been a while since I posted anything. I have cropped all of these to roughly a 35mm aspect ratio. It is not something I usually do but I think for these pictures the cropped versions are much better…

These first two are from a kind of soggy Fringe Sunday.

This one is from the garden of the Dean Gallery where Liz and I went to see the Foto exhibition.

And these two are from Arran where we went for a few days. It was also a bit soggy here but we had a great time despite the weather.

An Afternoon in the Garden

August 7, 2008

It has been raining more or less non stop for the last 24 hours here in Edinburgh. So to remind myself of happier (…and drier) times here are some photographs I took on a sunny day a few weekends ago. The square ones were taken with my Holga and the other ones with my Leica (witha deep red filter).

More Clan Sinclair pictures are here ….

I do like to be beside the seaside…

April 4, 2008

Every time I hear that song I think of the time my Dad shattered the silence in a big posh hotel in Cyprus by playing it with gusto on the big white grand piano in the austere reception area 🙂

Anyway these were all taken on Easter weekend on a trip down the coast with Rob. We didn’t stay too long cos it was freezing. Also I somehow lost my panoramic camera when we were there which is a pain. I have another and it only cost me 2 quid in the first place so its no big deal really but I do miss it!
